PoolLock slatted swimming pool covers are made of high quality materials, especially stainless steel, aluminum, PVC and polycarbonate. The lifetime of these main parts is practically unlimited. Life time of the motor is over 15 years. The usual lifetime of the slats itself is then in range of 8-12 years. However, there are also cases where it was necessary to replace the slats after more than 15 years. Changing the slats is fairly easy, and after replacing it, the cover looks like new again.
